If you opened the installed app and cannot see browser translation controls, open meyouandgodglobal.com in your browser. Browser translation can work with the page you are signed into; translating a public URL through a separate website may not include your private account content.

Translation covers readable page text. Text inside a flyer image, spoken audio, and video require their own text alternatives or translated captions. Keep access to the original wording, especially when studying Scripture.

Owner: optional translation directly inside the app

The server has a prepared Google Cloud Translation connection; its visitor controls will need to be connected and tested before launch. It stays inactive until your own service account setup is completed. A future in-app control can translate rendered page text after the visitor agrees to send it to Google.

  1. In your own Google Cloud account, create or select a project and enable Cloud Translation. Google requires service setup and billing for the API; review its current free allowance and pricing.
  2. Create a key restricted to the Cloud Translation API. Keep it private. Configure it as the secret hosting value GOOGLE_TRANSLATE_API_KEY; do not put it in website code or a community post.
  3. The prepared connection has a default monthly cap of 450,000 submitted characters. Change TRANSLATION_MONTHLY_CHAR_LIMIT only after reviewing your budget. Other uses of the Google account have their own usage.
  4. Test a public page, a signed-in page, a newly loaded post, and Arabic layout before announcing built-in translation as active.
